How to make your site less vulnerable to search engine algorithm changes

When you are so assured and happy that your ranking has tremendously improved over a few months, a sudden catastrophic attack, like algorithm change, can topple up the balance entirely. A change in the algorithm means you need to completely rework on things that you have strived to achieve for the past few months. The ranking page for a particular keyword would not be the same, the lists and rankings would have drastically changed and so on, all because of one single algorithm change.

So, what can one do to make the website less vulnerable to changes? Since doing the list keywords all over again is really a painful process, and one that may go waste again, if there is a change in algorithm, wising up to the way an algorithm change works is the best option available.

One thing that can make things easier all around is to work on keywords to make it less affected by the changes. Yes, the only answer is to create such keywords, which will not result in making your website go to the drain. For one, think about long tail keywords or those, which are non-competitive. For instance, think about a keyword that is least used by your competitive websites. This way, when there is an algorithm change, you will not be competing with those hundreds of websites to reach the top position in search engine page, but will at least be able to appear on the front page.

Since search engine rankings are based on your visitors’ log, why not give more emphasis to social media or other form of digital marketing like PPC, and so on? Since they will lead all your customers directly to your site, even an algorithm change will not be able to unbalance your ranking from the search engine page.

So, wise up to the ways search engines works and act today, to enjoy the unmatched top position always, with it.
